
We study how MIMO can improve wake-up radios (WuR) for IoT devices. By using multiple antennas and beamforming, we achieve more reliable wake-ups and fewer false triggers compared to traditional SISO systems. Our simulations confirm that MIMO-assisted WuR is a more efficient solution for IoT networks.

We extend the NYUSIM 3D channel simulator to include RIS-assisted mmWave systems, making studies more realistic than existing theoretical models. Our validation and simulations show how RIS improves signal power, especially when direct links are weak or blocked.
